Staff was helpful, they helped us carried our luggage to the room :)

The room is not clean. There's stain on the blanket. Didn't expect the bathroom floor level is higher than the bedroom floor level, I sprained my leg after stepping out from bathroom :(

Short walking distance to Kuromon market and train station.

There is a construction going on right opposite and it gets very noisy at 8am. There is no sound proof where you can hear noise from the street the whole night.

Nicely located, small but very clean and convenient, close to Nippombashi and Namba station, Kuromon market, etc. Spacious shared kitchen downstairs. Overall good value for the money

Check in was quite impersonal but ok. We were showed how the key box works and that was it.

The location is fine. The public space looked nice. Internet was fine, until it stopped working.

Our stay was fine, but not what we expected/booked. We looked for a hotel, but I'd say Hotel July is more of a guest house or hostel and the name is misleading. I'd recommend to change the name. The room was extremely small, as well as the bathroom. If you have more then a small suitscase, it's hard to find space to open it, when the futon is open. When we arrived, we were told that there is no room cleaning (although the booking page says that there is room/house cleaning), and if we want to exchange towels, we have to bring them to the reception. There is also a warning sign, that if you have to pay for towels if you use them to clean the room floor. (That's fine, but it should be possible to use a vacume cleaner etc. if there is no room cleaning.) The reception is only open between 10:00 and 19:00, but the information on this page says that check in is between 16:00 and midnight. Apparently check in after 19:00 is self-check in. If you have a problem, nobody might be there. We also couldn't exchange towels, as we left the hotel earlier then 10:00, and came back after 19:00. We also couldn't ask for new toilet paper, as we never met any staff person after our check in. After the second day, our rooms wifi stopped working. The issue might have been easy to fix, but there was nobody to ask, so we couldn't use the wifi for most of the stay. Someone should be there earlier or at least longer in the evening. There is also no elevator, you can hear too much noise from the other rooms and the futon mats didn't look clean. The floor and sheets were clean, but other spaces in the room where not. It wasn't a comfortable stay. If the accommodation would be clearly marked as a guest house without hotel-style service, the small space would be fine for the affordable price. But, after seeing the pictures and reading about the "hotel" before booking, we expected different and would rather spend more money for a real hotel.
